Patagonia Denim Jeans
Patagonia started as a small company which made tools for avid climbers. At the time, climbing hardware was damaging to the rock’s surface and the had to be an alternative. The aluminum chocks were the company’s catalyst for exponential growth. Ever since, Patagonia has been dedicated to provide clothing and gear that mitigates environmental degradation.
Out to change the industry, Patagonia came up with alternative for producing clothing that is less exhausting to the environment. Patagonia Denim jeans use only 100% organic cotton – no synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. Using an innovative dye process, the production of Patagonia jeans expends significantly less water, a third of the energy, and emits a fourth less carbon dioxide than the traditional techniques. Patagonia continues to pioneer the way clothing should be made.
